Thanks, and more ideas!
Thanks for responding so quickly and adding the ability to drive up to about 240 mph! If you are interested, I have a few other ideas:
1) Ability to force a route to be on roads which have Google Street View. (I don't know if this is possible.)
2) Showing the Panoramio photos when Street View is unavailable is nice, but sometimes the photos seem to be from a distant location. Is this a bug, or does it always try to show the nearest photos?
3) Street View buffer. Pre-load the next few Street View images, so that the image refresh rate can be set to 1 second while having fully loaded images. Otherwise, a short interval is not enough time to load each image.
4) Option to show map temperatures in Fahrenheit.
5) Perhaps the ability to go even faster?!? It's just a luxury, but it would be interesting. Maybe 1,000 mph? Then one could get a tour of North America within a relatively short time.
Thanks!

> 1) Ability to force a route to be on roads which have Google Street View. (I don’t know if this is possible.)
RI: That is quite difficult as there is no parameter when requesting a route for this feature. And doing it by the program is quite some computation effort.
>> 2) Showing the Panoramio photos when Street View is unavailable is nice, but sometimes the photos seem to be from a distant location. Is this a bug, or does it always try to show the nearest photos?
RI: The photos come for the map area – as Panoramio offers a so called bounding box. If you make the map area smaller the pictures are nearer. They are sorted by relevance and should appear on the map as well
>> 3) Street View buffer. Pre-load the next few Street View images, so that the image refresh rate can be set to 1 second while having fully loaded images. Otherwise, a short interval is not enough time to load each image.
RI: Already today RI pre-loads the next street view image and blends the new into the former. If the short interval is not enough then it is related to your internet connection and google street view retrieval.
>> 4) Option to show map temperatures in Fahrenheit.
RI: Its now set to F.
>> 5) Perhaps the ability to go even faster?!? It’s just a luxury, but it would be interesting. Maybe 1,000 mph? Then one could get a tour of North America within a relatively short time.
RI: ;) Will look into.
