    Treadmill version has been implemented

You can turn it on in the “Control” section of the bike control window on the right.

Have fun and donate if you like it ;)

  2. Thanks, and more ideas!

Thanks for responding so quickly and adding the ability to drive up to about 240 mph! If you are interested, I have a few other ideas:

    1) Ability to force a route to be on roads which have Google Street View. (I don't know if this is possible.)

    2) Showing the Panoramio photos when Street View is unavailable is nice, but sometimes the photos seem to be from a distant location. Is this a bug, or does it always try to show the nearest photos?

    3) Street View buffer. Pre-load the next few Street View images, so that the image…

Thanks a lot for your ideas – comments below:

    > 1) Ability to force a route to be on roads which have Google Street View. (I don’t know if this is possible.)

RI: That is quite difficult as there is no parameter when requesting a route for this feature. And doing it by the program is quite some computation effort.

    >> 2) Showing the Panoramio photos when Street View is unavailable is nice, but sometimes the photos seem to be from a distant location. Is this a bug, or does it always try to show the nearest photos?

RI: The photos come for the map area – as Panoramio offers a so called bounding box. If you make the map area smaller the…

  3. Faster travel speeds?

Hello! First of all, you have a terrific website! I'm not a bicyclist, however, and I've been using your site simply as an automatic Google Street View, just casually touring a region on the map. I'd appreciate an option to exceed the maximum bike speed. It would be nice to be able to go very, very fast -- maybe up to 300 mph or something.

I know that you want the movement to be realistic for bicyclists. Perhaps you could have different modes or travel options, such as "bicycle," "car," "crazy-fast go-kart," etc.?

Or perhaps you could simply allow the…

  6. Car routes with avoid highways with routing that has streetview only

Amazing application overall but it would be great to be able to choose car routes instead of bicycle routes with highway avoidance, since not all bicycle routes have streetview whereas most car routes do.

Also routing based on streetview availability would be great. If a part of the route does not currently have streetview it will route around the area through areas that have streetview.

I was trying to create a track from Geneva to Verbier and found that I couldn't choose a type of route between bike and car.
I set the route I wanted in Google maps and…

  7. Change Speed from rpm to mph

    1. On the Power/Brake/Speed report bar, speed is reported as rpm. I guess that is important for the physics model, but it is counter-intuitive to users. Could you change this to read out as mph (or kph)? If you really wanted to go all out, you could change the bar to include the data from the other report bar (mph/slope/cal) ... this would make the most sense to me, but maybe there's a program obstacle I can't see.

  8. Opacity for Power/Brake/Speed Bar

    1. This is similar to the other opacity issue. The Power/Brake/Speed bar appears when the user inputs his bike type. It has some opacity, and is usually easier to read than the other report bar. However, the opacity looks to be about 20%, and it would be much easier to read this bar if it were higher. If you want to go all out, allow users to set the opacity and its color. Cheers!!

  9. Non-metrics and other bikes

I'm very impressed with your efforts. I'm using the program because the iFit program that came with my current bike has crashed following the release of an untested beta version (VERY bad idea!).
    A couple of things missing:
    1. It would be nice for us Americans if you could allow us to use "miles" and "feet" (for height) and other so-called English measurements as well.
    2. Any chance you'll make this work with Nordic-Track exercise bikes?

    Steve,

the configuration now allows to choose between imperial and metric display. Imperial is the default.

BTW – how was the iFit program integrated with your bike? Bluetooth to computer, … ?

    Cheers,
    Ken

  10. Thank you for putting it all together in a nicely coordinated way for the tours in driving Simulator..

And please have the resistance output to some 8-bit port for my magnetos too. Thank you.

  11. Feedback: Drag & Drop works great

I am very excited using about the new Drag & Drop KML/GPX option too

(sometimes I had a local route that I didn't want to share publicly on a GPS website, so this will work perfectly for that, or for keeping a folder of my favourite route files)
